Craig : 8 February 2007 : London Bridge, London, UK
I just saw an incredible film at my office! (No, I wasn't working again, just visiting this time...what a good feeling!)
"An Inconvenient Truth" by Al Gore, 2005
If you care about our planet, if you worry about your children's future, if you wonder about what the truth is about global-warming, if you think the politician's may be pulling the wool over our heads...then you have to see this film, full-stop!
Go and look at the website and order yourself a copy, you won't be disapointed...www.climatecrisis.net

Brrrrrr....it's snowing again!! Not just a light dusting like a couple of weeks ago..no, this time it's really coming down!
So I guess I won't be going out for a training ride today...or for the next few days for that matter!
Seems a neighbour was wondering what all this fluffy stuff was about too...

Simon : 03 February 2007 : South Bank, London, UK

Attempted theft of my bicycle foiled!
With just three weeks to departure, three chavs nearly derailled our Cairo2CapeTown plans - and narrowly avoided a good kicking - after they
picked my D-lock and made off with my bicycle. By the time I realised my bike was missing, they were gone and I was left with my cold despair. But suddenly, in the crowded distance, I could just about make out a peaked cap and hoody. A desperate dash down the South Bank followed and gaining on them I started to relish the opportunity to tackle the guy on my bike. At his point they turned, and seeing me bearing down on them started pedalling wildly. I could hear their mocking laughter above my heavy breathing as they drew away.
And then...WHAM! the chav on my bike rode into the back of my hero, an American tourist who took the full brunt of the impact in his back, and his
Starbucks in his face. My beloved Kona was saved! If only I had arrived in time to plant my cycling shoe squarely in the chav's backside.
That was London, what will Africa bring?!
